Living in Pune is cheaper than New Delhi and Mumbai. However Cost of living in Pune greatly dependent on where you live. An average good 1BHK in normal area like Sadashiv Peth, Vadagaon, Kondhawa, Narhe, kothrud can cost you around Rs. 9,000 per month. Normally good 2BHK occupancy flat in areas like Baner, Kharadi, Viman nagar, Shivaji Nagar, Koregaon Park, Mudhva, Magarpatta Hadapsar, Hinjawadi comes in range of Rs. 10,000 – Rs 25,000. Also you can get a 1BHK flat for Rs 5,000 when you opt to live little far from the city.

Education Expenses:

Pune is well known for its best educational facilities and esteemed living culture. The educational system in Pune are greatly contributing to the building of future generations. Schools in Pune are renowned for their standard they have set in the field of education. The average school for kids care, day care, pre-school is Rs 27000, from I to V class schooling is Rs 55000/- and VI to X class its 170000/- per year and international school fee will be different from the above. Food Expenses:

Pune is a great place to eat. If you’re a foodie then Pune famous cuisines will surely set your taste buds racing. For a varied range of restaurants, pizza huts, snacks bar, burger centers serving almost any type of breakfast to snacks and main course to dessert items you can name it you can find it here. Pune is well known for cuisines like Vada Pav, Chicken Kathi Kebab, Mango Mastani, Chicken Mayo Sandwich, Chicken Shawarma, Pani Puri, Aloo Paratha and more. Average food cost for daily life is Rs. 180 (which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner) and if you visit a normal restaurant Full meals will cost almost Rs. 400 per person.

Grocery Expenses:

Buying grocery through online / local weekly market is easier and cheaper; most of Indian / International groceries & fruits will be available here. In Pune you can buy fruits like Apples, Mangoes, Jambhul-Jamun, Water Melon, Pear, Banana, Sugarcane, Mosambi, Ananas and more.
Buy eggs at Rs 51/10, chicken at 230/kg, mutton at 480/kg at most of the places.
